Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), 13 March (LaPresse/AP) – Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro is in intensive care with pneumonia. A hospital in Brasília has stated that tests have confirmed bronchopneumonia. This morning, his son Flavio wrote on X that Bolsonaro was suffering from chills and vomiting and had been transferred from prison to hospital. Doctors also reported a fever and low oxygen levels. Bolsonaro is serving a 27-year sentence for attempting a coup following his electoral defeat in 2022. He has denied any wrongdoing. He has been repeatedly hospitalised since he was stabbed during a campaign event in 2018.
