Milan, 17 March (LaPresse) – Afghanistan has accused Pakistan of killing at least 400 people in an air raid on a rehabilitation centre for drug addicts in the Afghan capital late on Monday evening. The incident marked a dramatic escalation of a conflict that began late last month and has been characterised by repeated cross-border clashes and air raids within Afghanistan. International calls for a ceasefire have gone unheeded. Pakistan has rejected the accusation that it struck a hospital, stating that its attacks, including those carried out in eastern Afghanistan, did not hit any civilian targets.
