Washington (US), 17 March (LaPresse) – Russia is stepping up intelligence sharing and military cooperation with Iran, providing satellite imagery and advanced drone technology to help Tehran identify and attack US forces in the region. This is reported by the Wall Street Journal, citing sources familiar with the matter. The technology supplied by Moscow to Tehran, writes the WSJ, includes components for modifying Shahed drones to improve their communication, navigation and targeting capabilities. Russia is also putting to good use the experience gained from deploying drones in Ukraine, offering tactical advice on the number of aircraft to deploy in operations and the most suitable flight altitudes from which to launch attacks.
