Iran: Katz confirms: ‘Intelligence Minister Khatib killed in attack’

Dubai (United Arab Emirates), 18 March (LaPresse/AP) – Israel’s Defence Minister Katz has confirmed that the Israeli army has killed Iran’s Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib. Katz added that he expects “significant surprises throughout the day on all fronts”. Khatib, a cleric, had been minister since 2021, as well as a close ally of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. He had previously held senior positions within the country’s intelligence and judicial apparatus.
