Madrid (Spain), 20 March (LaPresse) – Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has announced the approval of a comprehensive plan to respond to the crisis in the Middle East, which will “mobilise €5 billion” and includes 80 measures to tackle the “global economic earthquake” caused by the “illegal war in Iran”, the “first tremors” of which are already being felt. “Wars cost human lives and create refugees, and that alone would be enough to say no” to conflict, but they also have an economic cost, said the Socialist leader. The war in Iran, which is “illegal”, Sanchez repeated several times, “will now cost us €5 billion that we could have allocated to scholarships and healthcare” and which we will instead have to use to “protect Spain’s productive fabric” and the most vulnerable people. The Prime Minister stated that Spain is now “better prepared” to tackle this new crisis. “We will emerge stronger, as we have in previous crises,” said Sánchez.
