Dubai (United Arab Emirates), 23 March (LaPresse/AP) – There have been no negotiations, nor are any currently underway, either direct or indirect, between Iran and Washington, contrary to Donald Trump’s claims. This is reported by two semi-official Iranian news agencies close to the Revolutionary Guards Corps, Fars and Tasnim. “Since the start of the war, some mediators have sent messages to Tehran, but Iran’s clear response has been that it will continue its defence until the necessary level of deterrence is achieved,” writes Tasnim. “No negotiations have taken place and none are currently underway. With this kind of psychological warfare, neither will the Strait of Hormuz return to its pre-war conditions nor will calm return to the energy markets,” the report states.
