Belarus signs friendship and cooperation treaty with North Korea

Milan, 26 March (LaPresse) – Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and North Korean State Affairs Commission Chairman Kim Jong Un have signed a treaty of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. This was reported by the Belarusian state news agency BelTA. Lukashenko described the document as “fundamental, as it clearly and transparently sets out the objectives and principles of interaction between the two countries and defines the institutional framework for future mutually beneficial processes”, the agency reports, whilst for Kim “the new inter-state treaty will serve as a legal foundation to further ensure the stable development of bilateral relations”.
