Milan, 30 March (LaPresse/AP) – Iran has confirmed the death of the commander of the Revolutionary Guards Navy, Alireza Tangsiri. Israel had announced on Thursday that he had been killed in an airstrike. In a statement read out on state television, the Revolutionary Guards said that Tangsiri “had joined the ranks of Allah due to the severity of his injuries” and praised his efforts, particularly for helping Iran maintain control over the Strait of Hormuz.
