Frankfurt (Germany), 2 April (LaPresse) – A Ukrainian news crew from Public Dnipro was targeted by mortar fire whilst filming. This was reported by the Institute for Mass Information, citing journalistic sources, according to Ukrinform. The incident took place on 30 March in the village of Kapulivka, in the Pokrovska community, Dnipro region. Correspondent Roman Mykhalchuk and cameraman Daniil Nikolayenko were preparing a report on civilian life in the Nikopol district. The shelling, coming from the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region, began just as the journalist was preparing to film a shot on location. The journalists managed to lie flat on the ground and wait for the first explosions to cease, before reaching the police car. The shelling continued even as they fled: a mine exploded 50 metres from the car. None of the journalists or law enforcement officers were injured.
