Milan, 3 April (LaPresse) – Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during which the two discussed the situation in the Middle East and Ukraine. This was reported by the Kremlin, as cited by Russian news agencies. According to the Kremlin, “an in-depth exchange of views took place regarding the continuing escalation of military and political confrontation in the Persian Gulf region. It was noted that the intense military action is leading to serious negative consequences not only at regional level but also globally, including in the energy, trade and logistics sectors‘ and ’the leaders acknowledged their shared positions on the need for an immediate ceasefire and the development of peace agreements that take into account the legitimate interests of all states in the region".
