Milan, 4 April (LaPresse) – US President Donald Trump stated in a brief telephone interview with NBC News that the downing of the US jet in Iran would not affect negotiations with Tehran, whilst refusing to discuss the details of the search and rescue operations currently underway in Iran following the downing of the fighter jet. Trump expressed frustration at some of the reports regarding what is clearly an intense and delicate military operation. When asked whether today’s events would affect negotiations with Iran, the president replied in the negative: “No, not at all. No, it’s war. We’re at war,” he said.
