Milan, 5 April (LaPresse) – US President Donald Trump told ABC News that if Iran does not reach a peace deal within 48 hours, ‘we'll blow the whole country sky-high’. In a telephone interview with Rachel Scott, senior political correspondent for ABC News, Trump said he expected the Iranian government to reach an agreement “within a few days, not weeks”. “If it happens, it happens. And if it doesn’t happen, we’ll blow up the whole country,” he added, “we’ll blow it up, as I said, it will be the day of the bridge and it will be the day of the power station in Iran”. When asked if he would extend the deadline to give Iran more time to reach a peace deal, Trump replied: “They have all the time in the world to reach a deal. They don’t want to compromise; their entire country has gone to ruin.”
