Baghdad (Iraq), 7 April (LaPresse/AP) – The Iranian-backed Iraqi militia Kataib Hezbollah has announced that it will release the American journalist Shelly Kittleson, who was kidnapped on 31 March in Baghdad. The group stated that the decision had been taken “as a sign of appreciation for the patriotic stances of the outgoing Prime Minister” Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, without providing further details, and added that “this initiative will not be repeated in the future”.
