Milan, 9 Apr. (LaPresse/AP) – 1.1 million Lebanese have been displaced since the conflict reignited in Lebanon in early March, an unprecedented figure. This is according to the United Nations. The UN’s humanitarian coordinator in Lebanon, Imran Riza, stressed that this figure represents almost a fifth of the Lebanese population and is set to rise following the wave of over 100 Israeli attacks launched on the country on Wednesday. In a video press conference, Riza announced that Israeli orders requiring Lebanese people to leave their homes now affect 15.5% of the country’s territory.
