Milan, 10 April (LaPresse) – Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, has stated that delegations from Iran and the United States are arriving in Islamabad to take part in talks aimed at securing lasting peace in the region. In a televised address to the nation, Sharif described the current phase as a “decisive moment”. The Prime Minister thanked the leadership of Iran and the United States for agreeing to a ceasefire and for initiating peace talks at his request. Sharif went on to say that his government would “do its utmost to ensure the success of the peace process” and urged citizens “to pray for a successful outcome to the talks”.
