Budapest (Hungary), 12 April (LaPresse/AP) – ‘I am here to win.’ This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán as he spoke to the media after casting his vote in Budapest. Orban said the election campaign had been ‘a great national moment for us’ and thanked activists and supporters for their work. Polling stations opened at 6am local time and are due to close at 7pm. Orban and his main challenger, Peter Magyar, arrived at separate polling stations in Budapest almost simultaneously to cast their votes.
