Iran: Red Cross delivers first aid shipment since the start of the war

Milan, 14 April (LaPresse) – The Red Cross has delivered its first shipment of emergency aid to Iran since the start of the war, which is expected to meet the needs of nearly 25,000 people. The International Committee of the Red Cross said in a statement today that it had sent aid to the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), including five lorries loaded with supplies. The supplies include blankets, jerry cans, tarpaulins, hygiene kits and solar lamps. The remainder of the aid, transported by nine lorries, will be delivered to the Islamic Red Crescent Society (IRCS) by the end of this week.
