Barcelona (Spain), 17 Apr. (LaPresse) – It will be two days packed with engagements for Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez who, as well as hosting the first meeting of the Global Progressive Mobilisation in Barcelona, is today receiving Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva for the first bilateral summit between the two countries. On Saturday, the socialist leader will host, again in Barcelona, the fourth meeting of the initiative launched together with Lula, ‘In Defence of Democracy’, which will be attended by leaders from over 15 countries alongside other government representatives from Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. And it is no coincidence that all three events – namely the Global Progressive Mobilisation, the Spain-Brazil summit and the summit on the defence of democracy – are taking place on the same days; rather, it is the result of a clear political will on the part of Sánchez and Lula, explain sources at Moncloa, who highlight the clear harmony between the two leaders, who are intent on giving impetus to the global progressive front.
