Iran, Ghalibaf: ‘Reopening of Hormuz impossible if naval blockade remains’

Milan, 22 Apr. (LaPresse) – Iran’s chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has stated that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is impossible if the US naval blockade remains in place, as this constitutes a violation of the ceasefire. “A complete ceasefire only makes sense if it is not violated by a naval blockade and the holding of the global economy hostage, and if Zionist warmongering is stopped on all fronts,” he wrote in a post on X reposted by Iran International. “The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is not possible in the face of a blatant violation of the ceasefire,” he added. He continued: “They have not achieved their objectives through military aggression, and they will not achieve them through bullying either.”
