Milan, 30 April (LaPresse) – Fifteen vessels belonging to the Global Sumud Flotilla are reported to have been intercepted by Israeli ships in international waters, more than 600 miles off the coast of Gaza. The Global Sumud Flotilla made this statement on Instagram, calling for action to “fight against Israeli piracy in the Mediterranean”. Israeli military vessels ‘have illegally surrounded the flotilla in international waters and threatened abductions and violence’, it emphasised, adding that ‘contact has been lost with eleven vessels’. The Global Sumud Flotilla also posted a video on its Instagram profile showing one of the vessels at the moment it was intercepted.
