Some Iran-linked groups have claimed responsibility for certain attacks, and the police have also warned ‘hitmen’ against taking money from shady figures who may be working for foreign states to foment anti-Semitism and instability in the UK. Starmer has repeatedly insisted that the UK will not be drawn into the war in the Middle East, operating only in a defensive role in the region, a stance that has drawn strong criticism from Donald Trump.
