Rome, May 6 (LaPresse) – The possible one-page framework agreement between the United States and Iran would also include a ceasefire in Lebanon, separate from the already existing truce between Israel and Beirut, according to Axios journalist Barak Ravid. The deal, still being defined, would “end the war across the entire region, Lebanon included,” Ravid reported, stressing that this would represent a significant shift compared to the current negotiating framework. According to the journalist, the ceasefire with Iran has so far not been extended to the Lebanese front, where Israel is engaged against Hezbollah. It is not clear whether a potential agreement would include the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Lebanon or a return to the terms of the previous truce.
