Milan, May 13 (LaPresse) – In a book published today, Paris-Match journalist Florian Tardif claims that Brigitte Macron's blow to French President Emmanuel Macron in May 2025 during a trip to Vietnam was due to jealousy. At the center of the dispute between the presidential couple is said to be the Franco-Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani, to whom Macron allegedly wrote messages such as: "I find you very pretty." Tardif speaks of a "misunderstanding on the plane" where there would have been "an argument" that "was believed to be over" when in reality it was not. A discussion that directly links to the alleged "Platonic relationship" between Macron and Farahani. The French first lady reportedly saw those messages, which would explain the scene on May 25, 2025, at Hanoi airport, when, as the plane's doors opened, Brigitte's hands were briefly seen hitting the French leader's face. The Elysée Palace had described the episode as "a playful exchange." Tardif's version of events was denied to Bfmtv by Brigitte Macron's entourage: "Brigitte Macron categorically denied this version of events to the author on March 5, specifying that she never looks at her husband's cell phone."
