Rome, 18 May (LaPresse) – The Power of Siberia 2 gas pipeline will be discussed “in detail” by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping during the Russian leader’s visit to Beijing. This was stated by Russian presidential adviser Yuri Ushakov during a briefing, as reported by TASS. ‘This topic will be discussed in great depth; it is on the agenda,’ said Ushakov. Putin and Xi Jinping will discuss ‘the most important, crucial and sensitive issues’ in bilateral relations during the talks scheduled in Beijing, including cooperation in the hydrocarbons sector, added Ushakov. “I won’t go into details now, but I believe this topic will be discussed in depth between the leaders, with the participation of representatives directly involved in all these projects,” he specified, referring to energy cooperation and hydrocarbon supplies.
