Milan, 23 May (LaPresse) – The Chief of the Pakistani Army, Field Marshal Asim Munir, held lengthy talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran, as diplomatic efforts intensify to prevent further escalation in the region. This was reported by the Iranian state news agency IRNA, which stated that the meeting took place on Friday and continued late into the night. The two ‘exchanged views on the latest diplomatic efforts and initiatives aimed at preventing escalation and ending the US and Israeli war against Iran, as well as on ways to strengthen peace, stability and security in West Asia’, writes Irna.
