Milan, 30 May (LaPresse) – The commander of the United States Southern Command (Southcom), General Francis L. Donovan, “met with Lieutenant General Roberto Legrá Sotolongo, First Deputy Minister to the Chief of the General Staff, and other senior leaders of the Cuban army at the perimeter of the Guantanamo Bay Naval Station in Cuba for a brief discussion on operational security matters”. This is according to a post on X by Southcom. Donovan “personally inspected all security aspects of the Guantanamo Bay Naval Station, leading a comprehensive assessment of perimeter security and discussing force protection, operational readiness and measures to ensure the safety and security of service members, their families and the joint force stationed at the facility with base officials”.
