US, White House doctor: ‘Trump is in excellent health’

Washington (USA) (LaPresse/AP), 30 May – Donald Trump’s doctor has stated that the president is in “excellent health” and is “fully fit” to serve as commander-in-chief, following a medical examination carried out on Tuesday at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. A report by Dr Sean Barbabella, published on Friday evening, states that Trump underwent a CT scan and other diagnostic imaging tests of the heart, as well as cancer screenings and other preventive assessments carried out by 22 specialists. Trump, 79, said after Tuesday’s three-hour check-up that everything had turned out “perfectly”. The check-up, which Trump described as a six-monthly check-up, was the fourth medical examination made public since he returned to the White House for his second term. The check-up comes as part of his efforts to project an image of strength ahead of the mid-term elections.
