Brussels, 11 June (LaPresse/AP) – British Defence Secretary John Healey has resigned. According to Healey, the government is unwilling to invest sufficiently in the armed forces at a time of growing threat. In his letter of resignation sent to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, he highlights that the government’s defence investment plan is ‘well below what is needed at this dangerous time’. The publication of the plan has been delayed due to alleged disagreements between the Ministry of Defence and the Treasury.
