Rome, 25 May (LaPresse) – ‘The company must withdraw the plan. We need a new one that leaves no one behind.’ This is what the Minister for Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, reportedly said in response to the company at the ongoing Electrolux talks at the Ministry of Economic Development. ‘I ask the company to withdraw the plan presented today at the talks,’ Urso noted, "and to open a genuine dialogue, so that we can build a shared and sustainable industrial solution together. We need a new industrial plan based on investment and innovation, the protection of factories and the safeguarding of jobs. We are ready to do our part,‘ Urso noted, ’even in the most difficult crises, it is possible to reach an agreement that avoids redundancies, keeps factories open and offers prospects for production. We demonstrated this with Beko. In this case too, let us work together, responsibly. We need a new plan that leaves no one behind. We will never accept the industrial desertification of Europe. Our priority is to protect workers and revitalise national industry."
