Turin, 11 Nov. (LaPresse) – The cause of death of Ace Frehley, founding member of Kiss, who passed away on 16 October, has been revealed. The death of the 74-year-old guitarist was accidental and caused by a blunt force trauma to the head following a fall, according to the Morris County coroner's report obtained by Fox News Digital. In early October, the musician told fans that he had suffered a “minor” fall in the studio, which forced him to cancel his scheduled concerts in the United States. ‘We are completely devastated and heartbroken,’ Frehley's family said at the time of his passing. "In his final moments, we were fortunate enough to be able to surround him with loving, caring and peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth. We cherish all his fond memories, his laughter, and celebrate his strength and the kindness he gave to others. Reflecting on all his incredible achievements in life, Ace's memory will live on forever!‘ ’We are devastated by the passing of Ace Frehley," the band's founding members said in a statement. ‘He was an essential and irreplaceable rock soldier during some of the most formative chapters of the band and its history. He is and will always be part of the Kiss legacy. Our thoughts are with Jeanette, Monique and all those who loved him, including our fans around the world,’ the statement concluded.
