L'Aquila, 19 April (LaPresse) – The 20-year-old found dead in the early afternoon today in a garage of a residential complex in Vasto, in the province of Chieti, on the Histoniense ring road, was named as Andrea Sciorilli. His body was discovered by his parents, lying face down on the ground in a secluded area of the garage blocks belonging to the building where the family lives. The task of examining the body has been entrusted to pathologist Pietro Falco, head of forensic medicine at ASL 2, who is currently conducting an external examination of the body. According to investigative sources, several stab wounds were found on the young man’s body. A murder investigation has been opened. Investigators from the Carabinieri are combing the garage area in search of the murder weapon, whilst footage from CCTV cameras in the area is being secured. Local police officers have cordoned off the entrance to the block’s car park to facilitate the work of the Carabinieri and the forensic pathologist, who are working to reconstruct the exact sequence of events.
