Milan, April 20 (LaPresse) – “It also happened in Rome. A member of our community who did not want to give up wearing the kippah as usual was insulted and attacked for this reason. We strongly denounce this incident, we call for full clarity and for those responsible to be punished, and we thank the authorities and law enforcement for the daily protection they provide to our entire community, the oldest in Rome with its two thousand years of history. It must be clear to everyone that antisemitism has always existed and has increased exponentially after October 7. It must also be clear that when a Jew is insulted and attacked in Italy, in Rome, because he is Jewish, the fundamental values of the Constitution that belong to all of us Italians are being called into question.” This was stated in a note by Victor Fadlun, president of the Jewish Community of Rome.
