Milan, May 13 (LaPresse) – Polizia di Stato in Milan arrested seven more people believed to be involved in the clashes that took place on September 22, 2025, near Milano Centrale railway station during protests in support of the Global Sumud Flotilla and the “Palestinian cause.” Judge Giulia D'Antoni, at the request of prosecutor Francesca Crupi, ordered house arrest for the seven suspects and residence obligations with daily reporting to police for another three individuals. The precautionary measures, which add to the non-custodial orders already carried out in March against 14 other demonstrators on charges including aggravated resistance to a public official, interruption of public service, contempt, aggravated assault and serious or very serious injuries to public officials, throwing dangerous objects and use of improvised weapons, stem from new investigations by the Digos unit on via Fatebenefratelli. Police officers identified and reported another 25 people, including four minors, for damage caused at the Galleria delle Carrozze of Central Station and in Piazza Duca d’Aosta, as well as for clashes with law enforcement deployed to protect Milan’s main railway hub, which later continued on via Vittor Pisani. They are also accused of aggravated damage and destruction/deterioration of cultural heritage assets for allegedly defacing the stained-glass windows of the station’s historic gates, a cultural asset recognized as being of particular importance.
