Milan, May 28 (LaPresse) – The Naples Local Police have seized a structure built in the VIP section of Maradona Stadium without a building permit. According to the Naples edition of La Repubblica, the structure measures 150 square meters and is three and a half meters high. The alleged offense is building code violation by Aurelio De Laurentiis, who, in his capacity as Napoli’s administrator, commissioned the work. The Napoli owner is now under investigation for the unauthorized food stand. On May 7, two traffic police officers from the Building Protection Unit arrived at the VIP stand while work was underway on an enclosed space, “presumably intended as a refreshment area.” The traffic officers were shown a resolution dated September 2025 stating that the City Council at Palazzo San Giacomo had approved a request from the club for three new hospitality lounges, to which the City of Naples had given its approval in exchange for an increase in the concession fee of nearly 30,000 euros. But that resolution, according to the City, was not a building permit. Hence the judge’s decision to seize the area.
