Washington (USA), 28 May (LaPresse) – US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has warned Oman against supporting Iran in imposing tolls on commercial traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. “The US government will not tolerate any attempt to impose a toll system in the Strait of Hormuz. Oman, in particular, must know that the US Treasury Department will firmly target any actor involved — directly or indirectly — in facilitating the imposition of tolls for the Strait, and that any complicit partner will be sanctioned," Bessent stated in a post on X. Bessent will be holding a briefing with journalists at the White House today at 2pm (8pm in Italy).
