Milan, 6 May (LaPresse) – “Yesterday was a doubly happy day for Italian cinema. The David di Donatello Awards ceremony took place at the Quirinale in an atmosphere of harmony, and in the evening came the most welcome and well-deserved surprise of learning that the documentary ‘Vittorio De Sica – La Vita in scena’ will be screened in preview at Cannes in the ‘Cannes Classics’ section. A major achievement that restores to Italian cinema the centrality and dignity it deserves. In this specific case, the documentary film on the master Vittorio De Sica – directed and produced by Francesco Zippel and Federica Paniccia, to whom I extend my personal congratulations and those of the Ministry of Culture – confirms our belief that young talents know how to make their mark.” This was stated by the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli.
