Rome, May 30 (LaPresse) – The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, has, motu proprio, awarded the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic to three Finnish divers, Sami Paakkarinen, Jenni Westerlund and Patrik Grönqvist, who distinguished themselves in the recovery operations of the bodies of Italian divers who lost their lives during a dive in the waters off the Maldives islands. This was announced by the Quirinale.
