Rome, 14 June (LaPresse) – “At the moment, the League is under constant attack. From newspapers, commentators, the left and even those who call themselves ‘right-wing’ yet then vote against the Government.” This is what the League’s secretary, Matteo Salvini, writes in the party’s newsletter, ‘La settimana leghista’. “This is nothing new. There have always been those who try to stop us, to silence us, to investigate and prosecute us, to slow down the momentum of a movement that has but one interest: to defend our regions, listen to citizens and turn words into deeds,” emphasises the Deputy Prime Minister. “Clearly, we are a thorn in someone’s side. They have tried many times. They have always failed.” “We will continue to do what we have always done: work. Forward. With our heads held high,” concludes Salvini.
