Milan, 26 May (LaPresse) – Luciano Darderi's campaign came to an end in the first round of Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam tournament of the season, currently underway on the clay courts of Paris. The Italian, ranked 45th in the world, lost to American Sebastian Korda, ranked 23rd in the ATP rankings and seeded 23rd, with a score of 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in two hours and 22 minutes. Among the other big names, Casper Ruud got off to a positive start, with the Norwegian number 7 seed beating Spain's Albert Ramos-Vinolas in three sets 6-3, 6-4, 6-2.
