Milan, 22 Apr. (LaPresse) – New peace talks between Iran and the US could begin as early as Friday. This is according to the New York Post, citing a text message from US President Donald Trump. The newspaper reports that, according to Trump and Pakistani sources, ‘good news’ regarding a second round of talks could arrive as early as Friday. It explains that sources in Islamabad have highlighted positive mediation efforts with Tehran, renewing the possibility of further peace talks within the next ‘36-72 hours’. ‘When asked by the Post about this possible breakthrough, Trump replied in a text message: “It’s possible! President DJT”’, the New York Post reports.
