Rome, 3 May (LaPresse) – The start time of the Miami Grand Prix has been changed due to forecast thunderstorms over the Florida city: the race has been brought forward to 7pm Italian time (1pm local time) from the original 10pm. The decision was taken following a meeting held after yesterday’s qualifying session. “Following discussions between the FIA, Formula 1 and the organiser of the Miami Grand Prix, the decision has been taken to bring forward the start of Sunday’s Miami Grand Prix to 13:00 local time in Miami, due to weather forecasts predicting heavy thunderstorms in the late afternoon, close to the originally scheduled start time,” the FIA, Formula 1 and the Miami Grand Prix stated in a press release.
