Rome, 9 May (LaPresse) – Mattia Bellucci has reached the third round of the Italian Open. Following his opening-round victory over Roman Andres Burruchaga, the 24-year-old from Busto Arsizio, ranked 80th, came from behind to beat another Argentine, Tomas Martin Etcheverry, 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 in two hours and 34 minutes. The Lombardy native, enjoying his best-ever result in Rome, will face lucky loser Martin Landaluce for a place in the last 16; Landaluce defeated Marin Cilic in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.
