Turin, May 9 (LaPresse) – The women’s draw at the Italian Open, currently taking place on the clay courts of the Foro Italico in Rome, has already lost one of its main stars. World number one Aryna Sabalenka was defeated in the third round by Romania’s Sorana Cirstea, world No. 27, with a score of 6-2, 3-6, 5-7. The Belarusian player was forced to take a medical time-out in the third set because of a back problem.
