Rome, May 31 (LaPresse) – The Giro d'Italia Women turns pink as Elisa Balsamo, wearing the leader’s jersey, wins the second stage—a 156-km sprint from Roncade to Caorle. Balsamo finished ahead of Lara Gillespie, in the Red Jersey, and Chiara Consonni, in a finishing order that also mirrors the general classification. Today’s stage also awarded the first Blue Jersey of this edition to Eleonora La Bella and saw a change at the top of the White Jersey standings, with Alessia Zambelli taking the lead from France’s Celia Gery.
