Rome, May 31 (LaPresse) – Jonas Vingegaard of Team Visma Lease a Bike has won the 2026 Giro d'Italia. The Danish rider dominated the 109th edition of the ‘Corsa Rosa’. Joining Vingegaard on the podium was Austria’s Felix Gall of the Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team, who finished second, and, in third place, Australia’s Jay Hindley of Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe. The top Italian finisher was Davide Piganzoli in eighth place. Also worth noting in the top ten was the ever-reliable Damiano Caruso (Bahrain Victorious), who finished in ninth place.
