Rome, 6 June (LaPresse) – Fifty years after Adriano Panatta’s triumph at Roland Garros, and one year after the legendary Sinner v Alcaraz final, another Italian tennis player is set to feature in the final in Paris: Flavio Cobolli, the tournament’s tenth seed, will face Alexander Zverev on Sunday 7 June, live from 3.00 pm on Nove, with pre-match coverage free-to-air from 2.30 pm. Flavio Cobolli, a 24-year-old clay-court specialist, reaches his first Grand Slam final having dropped just two sets and without playing the all-Italian semi-final due to Matteo Arnaldi’s unfortunate withdrawal. Alexander Zverev, the number 2 seed at Roland Garros, has, by contrast, contested three major finals, one of which he lost on Court Chatrier to Alcaraz. Zverev and Cobolli, who stand at 3-1 in their previous meetings and 1-1 in 2026, have already faced each other last year in Paris, with the 29-year-old German coming out on top. A major Italian exclusive for Warner Bros. Discovery, Roland Garros was broadcast on Eurosport channels, HBO Max and discovery+, distributed by DAZN, TimVision and Prime Video. The Cobolli-Zverev Roland Garros final will also be preceded on free-to-air TV by Courtside, the pre-match show featuring Eurosport’s best-known tennis personalities, with commentary by Jacopo Lo Monaco, Barbara Rossi and Andreas Seppi, Eurosport Italia’s new talent expert.
