Rome, Mar. 3 (LaPresse) – “I think that Minister Crosetto, if a request arrives, the government will evaluate it and make a decision.” This is what Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said, responding to questions about whether the United States has requested to use American bases in Italy. “Cyprus is a European Union country. Today we summoned the Iranian ambassador to the Farnesina to protest what happened, because Iran must not attack countries that have nothing to do with the matter,” he explained on ‘Cinque minuti’ on Rai1. “This applies to Gulf countries, but even more so to European Union countries. Cyprus is a country that is not even part of NATO. Therefore, the attack on Cyprus is incomprehensible,” he added.
