Washington (USA), Apr 21 (LaPresse) – The departure of Vice President JD Vance for Islamabad for a second round of negotiations with Iran has been suspended, after Tehran did not respond to US negotiating positions. This was reported to the New York Times by a US official with direct knowledge of the situation. Iran, for its part, said it has not yet decided whether to resume talks with the United States. The ceasefire deadline between the United States and Iran is set for tomorrow evening. President Trump has suggested he does not want to extend the truce in the absence of a longer-term agreement.
