Madrid (Spain), 23 Apr. (LaPresse) – Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares has stated that it is ‘unacceptable’ for Europe to say ‘absolutely nothing’ regarding Israel’s attacks in Lebanon and warned that the European Union must send a ‘strong political signal’. ‘It is not possible for Europe, which must defend human rights and international law, and which must also join in peace efforts, to say nothing,’ argued the head of Spanish diplomacy in an interview with LaSexta. The comment came after the EU on Tuesday rejected the proposal by Pedro Sánchez’s government to suspend the EU-Israel Association Agreement.
