Jerusalem, Apr 25 (LaPresse) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they launched attacks in three areas in southern Lebanon against what they described as Hezbollah rocket launch sites, as reported by The Guardian. The strikes hit the villages of Deir al-Zahrani, Kfar Reman and al-Sama'iya, located north of the areas where IDF forces are deployed in southern Lebanon. On Thursday, US President Donald Trump announced that the temporary ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon – which was due to expire tomorrow – has been extended by three weeks. However, the ceasefire has been only inconsistently respected by Israel and Hezbollah, with rare but ongoing attacks.
